Where did we get all this junk? I've been combing through our stuff for days now and every time I go through the house looking for garage sale items, I find more junk that we don't need. The whole house is looking worse and worse as I pack up. I've got to get some control over the clutter before I start showing the place to prospective buyers.
The For Sale by Owner sign is working. It's only been up 4 days and I've gotten 4 calls and we have someone coming to see the house on Friday. At the top of my list of Worst Things That Could Happen is House Doesn't Sell for Months. Just below that is House Sells Immediately, Fire Drill Ensues. I'm not sure which would be more stressful. I'm taking India to get her passport done tomorrow, just in case the house sells quickly, I won't be scrambling for that.
I'll be having the garage sale over Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully, three days will be enough to get rid of everything. One thing's for certain, anything that goes outside for the sale is NOT coming back in! I don't care if I have to haul it to Goodwill or to the dump, EVERYTHING MUST GO!
